The design of this special set depicts a baby in its cradle, a mother (or an older sibling), and grandparents – all deeply engrossed in a loving moment of storytelling.
The Story Block is the winning design of the AVDAR "The Story" Design Event 2025 and was created by Emmy Cohen from the Netherlands. The set includes 23 versatile handmade wooden elements and a square wooden tray that can be used for both storage and more complex building ideas.
This strictly limited edition was produced in a run of only 200 numbered copies – each set is individually numbered.
Playing with Purpose
5% of the proceeds from this set will be donated to the Dom-Ray Foundation, to enable sustainable change beyond the playroom.
The Dom-Ray Foundation, founded in 2007 by Emily Cohen (Emmy), supports disadvantaged communities in developing countries – particularly children and young people in Cambodia. Through education, protection, and community projects, Dom-Ray creates new perspectives and opportunities for a better future.
